“All I Want For Christmas is a Diamond”
The Garfield Park Little League would like to thank you for your generosity and support of our Annual fundraiser. We understand the importance of community and what it means, unity. As many of you know GPLL has been a staple in this community for over 15 years and we intend to continue this journey for as long as the community allows us to serve. In order to serve the youth in our community we need to improve our existing conditions, and it is going to take a village to do just that.
We would like to thank the staff at the Garfield Park Conservatory for donating your lovely facility for our event, and for going out of the way to make our day a success. Thank you Eugena (owner of Dave's Red Hots) for the ever-so-tasty Chicago-style hotdogs and fresh-cut fries. We can not thank you enough, and we will see you during our next season. Thank you to Blevian Moore of B Moore consulting for helping us execute this event by way of media and public relations.
To our dignitaries: State Representative Omar Williams of the 24th ward, and Commissioner Brandon Johnson of the 1st District, who thought enough of us to come through and show their continued support. Thank you, Mike Huff (White Sox) for donating to the cause and for outfitting our players and making them feel like AllStars!
Thank you, Santa Claus (Ernest Jackson) for bringing joy and smiles to those both young and old, while playing a big part in our donation quest.
Last but certainly not least. Thank you Garfield Park Little League family for making the magic happen.
We are ending the year strong! Let's start fresh and get ready for the new year. It's all or nothing!
The event has come to an end, but we are still excepting donations. We would greatly appreciate it if you could help us spread the word to family and friends. We still have a ways to go to get to our “Home Run,” which is a new baseball diamond at Garfield Park. The raffle will end Christmas Eve at midnight, giving Santa a chance to grant our Christmas wish.
We look forward to celebrating with you on January 1st at 12 pm. All $100 plus donations are entered into a raffle where there will be a chance to win one of the following:
1. Autographed baseball by a special Sox player.
2. $100 gift certificate to Fogo de Chao
3. $100 gift certificate to Mastro's Steakhouse Chicago
4. $100 gift certificate to STK Steakhouse
5. $100 gift certificate to Gibson's Steakhouse GPPL fundraiser
